After 3 years of specializing in criminal law as a sole practitioner, Daryl Wood joined the Law Offices of Raymond A. Cassar. He represents clients, throughout the state of Michigan, on all types of felonies and misdemeanors. Mr. Wood is particularly well versed with respect to the latest drunk driving laws and driver's license restoration issues. He has appeared at numerous Driver's License Appeal Division (D.L.A.D.) hearings across the state and countless Circuit Court restoration hearings.

In order to provide his clients with the best possible criminal defense, Mr. Wood continually attends legal seminars to stay apprised of the latest developments / changes in our criminal laws. In fact, Daryl Wood authored a brochure entitled, "What you should do if you are arrested for drunk driving." This informative pamphlet describes in detail who should and shouldn't submit to police breath tests, the affects on your driving privileges, your rights and when to exercise them. It is a snapshot of the changes in the drunk driving laws that went into effect in October of 1999.

Additional areas of study completed by Mr. Wood include, scientific evidence, demonstrative evidence, Michigan law updates and Supreme Court updates. He has taught cross-examination techniques for handlers of drug sniffing dogs.

Daryl Wood completed his undergraduate studies at Eastern Michigan University and is a graduate of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. Having started his professional career as an intern in the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, Daryl handled numerous felony preliminary examinations and countless misdemeanors. He has successfully represented clients in a wide spectrum of criminal matters including, drunk driving, license restoration, drug offenses, prostitution, accosting and soliciting, assault and battery, theft charges, weapons offenses and, search and seizure.
